Mission Statement and Background I started Canine Creations soon after suffering the loss of my wonderful 13 year old cocker spaniel Xia. Each and every one of those physical memories of her were contained in a simple stack of cherished photographs, until one day I decided to apply my graphic design skills on these images. Each photo that I digitally altered soon took on a transformation into something that I could truly treasure and proudly frame for display. Many refinements of this process have taken place since then. So today, my love for these splendid dogs - plus my graphic arts experience - are something I'd like to share with everyone. The emphasis of my work is on the special compassion for those who have suffered the loss of their precious companion. This is because I fully understand how words alone could never describe the sadness and emptiness left behind by the absence of their everyday presence in our lives. Located in the front range of the Colorado Rockies, Colorado Springs is home to the United States Olympic Training Center, U.S. Air Force Academy, the Garden of the Gods, and the most spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, including our own Pikes Peak. This is where I decided to call home 28 years ago relocating from my small hometown roots in Illinois. Here in Colorado, I spent 18 years printing for a catalog greeting card company, then advanced my career forward to learn pre-press graphic design and digital art at our local college.
